    The cartage operations manager is responsible for implementation of business measures and strategies related to the cartage business.  The operations manager is responsible for budgeting finances, work force staffing levels, maintaining rolling stock, overseeing warehouse operations and ensuring a safe operational environment.  The manager will display excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development of operation budget
    • Assist in the establishment of cartage rates
    • Assist in the development of marketing and sales plans
    • Hiring and supervision of support staff, drivers and warehouse personnel
    • Communicating with clients to ensure performance metrics are met
    • Management of day to day business operations
    • Development and implementation of cartage and warehouse process
    • Development and implementation of safety programs
    • Maintain good working relationship with outside contractors and vendors

    Qualifications

    The operations manager will assist in the development of a yearly strategic goals and budget.  The manager will utilize the goals for day to day operations of the enterprise.  The manager will have direct control over staffing and staffing levels, fleet and warehousing operations.  The manager will report directly to the officers of the company.
